Dr. Lorene Wiley is a board-certified OB-GYN and Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology practicing at RSMC in San Diego. She brings broad clinical experience from hospital, academic, and private-practice settings across California and Louisiana. Her background spans everything from inpatient obstetrics to fertility-focused gynecologic care.
Dr. Wiley completed her OB-GYN residency at Vidant Medical Center/Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University, following a family medicine internship at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Ross University School of Medicine. Before joining RSMC, she served as Medical Director of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Clinical Teaching Faculty at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She also practiced as an attending physician at Orange Coast Women’s Medical Group | Hoag in Southern California.
Dr. Wiley provides infertility evaluation, ultrasound monitoring, and fertility treatment management, including egg retrievals, embryo transfers, and hysteroscopy. She works closely with RSMC’s reproductive endocrinology and embryology teams throughout each patient’s treatment cycle. Her surgical background includes robotic-assisted and minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, developed over years of full-scope OB-GYN practice.
Dr. Wiley is committed to guiding patients through every step of their care with clarity and compassion. Her time teaching residents and medical students has shaped an approach that values clear explanation as much as clinical skill. She wants every patient to feel informed and supported, not just treated.
Her research includes work on maternal morbidity and mortality trends and postpartum long-acting reversible contraception. She has also presented on infertility evaluation and treatment for general practitioners. She is a member of ACOG, AAGL, and the Society of OB-GYN Hospitalists (SOGH).
